GW have sent out an email regarding the new Battle Mission's book, these are the missions which were rumour a while ago to be released as a book, then were due to appear in White Dwarf and now it appears are back in their own book, they'll mostly feature race specific missions, definately one to look forward too.
However the bit which is really interesting is the note that additional releases will be timed around this, which I quote include "new sets for Space Marines, Orks and the Imperial Guard released alongside Battle Missions in March."
What sets you may ask, well the picture attached is fairly revealing - look at that Basilisk, it's the new Chimera chasis which to me equals only one thing - the new artillery kit is on it's way.

That would be kind of fantastic, especially if it's all-encompassing like the new Leman Russ and Hellhound kits.
Well spotted mate, I got the mail aswell and never spotted that. I wonder what versions we'll getting.
Good catch! I focused on the gun part and, not seeing any difference, figured it was an older version. Can't wait to see if they've done anything different with the inside. Or, for that matter, what else comes with the kit!
I didn't catch the new hull either, I was looking at the blast shield, which either is the old one or has the same goofy looking winged skull on it.
I hope this includes things like the Medusa etc, the other artillery that is only available from Forge Wolrd in the book,
I have a little theory that we're going to see plastic Tallarns as well. I saw photos of a greenstuff stage Tallarn at UK Games Day, and Forgeworld have pulled most of their standard infantry line off the website.
Great spotting! I can't wait for a few more Guard goodies to pick up. Right in time for our Summer League when I'll put these Wolves away and get back to the Guard!
I'd hope we'll see at the very least the Medusa on the sprue, it'd be nice to see the Griffon and Collosus as well but they are of course somewhat different, but then the lack of update to the Earthshaker gun itself may pointto just that, the effort on the kit has gone into new options - then again it may just be a let down.
Time will tell!
Soundwave, sadly those have been debunked, the Tallarn were just 'practice' pieces for GW sculptors, it's not the first time that such pieces that we as the customers would love to see have been done as such, unfortunately it's VERY unlikely we'll ever see anything further.
Ah that's a shame. My army is comprised of Cadians at the moment, and soon to be Praetorians. Would've been cool to have a different look for each platoon!
It is a shame, though that said I believe it was Jervis who was quoted as saying recently that they'd like to do all the IG Regiments in plastic - just have to wait an see if we ever get another.
