New Sculpts Incomming

It's been a long time coming, but I'm finally about to send off some more bits to the casters which will form part of my Life Guard Heavy Infantry conversion kit, unlike with the Roughriders, these bits will all be available seperately through a webstore. The webstore will also stock the Roughrider kit with a revised Torso, a new Infantry torso, and lots more goodies which I've got planned - some very close behind, some a little more distant.

Anyway, just a quick look at a couple of the new bits.

Finished Carapace Torso

Finished High Energy Laser Gun

And finally, a mockup of the style for the Life Guard Heavy Infantry Helmet, these will follow in the next wave as a sprue of heads.

More new toys for Praetorian collectors!! I see thiose torsos and helmets looking good on Victoria Lamb's trousered legs or even the kilts. Unless of course you are designing your own lower halves. Having over 200 of the original models, these kits allow me to keep expanding my army with something different. Thank you.

Gravis, these look great, excited about the new webshop and these will be great for lifeguard cavalry I have in mind down the line. Am I misreading or did you say a normal torso will also be available? Any chance of some epaulletted arms at some point? And will these be metal or resin? Sorry for all the questions!

Oh and thanks for your response to my swap place idea the other day. I would be extremely grateful if you would be willing to hold something like a praetorian bartertown on your blog, it would seem the logical place as google the guys and your pretty much the top hit. I am conscience though that there is running and organising burden on your part though which seems a little unfair but if you were happy to do so I think many in the community, including myself would be grateful. I'm on hol at the minute just surfing in the evening while misses reads so will email you properly at the weekend.

Col: goes without saying, but these are amazing pieces of work and it's clear to see an extraordinary amount of skill has gone into them. My only regret is that I don't (yet) have any Praetorian projects on the go (you'll have to forgive my trespassing here, as a Mordian player) but it's a real pleasure just to see the photos. Looking forward to seeing more!

Great work. I just finished 30 storm trooper conversions, wish I'd had the torsos :(

Thinking of it, I could use the torso and helmet as veterans.

Will the helmet be available without a head in it?

Cheers chaps!

Thats the idea Ady, GW may have given us a core, but there are so many ways to expand on the idea. I've plenty more to go, but if theres anything you'd like to see dont hesitate to get in touch!

Buffer, yes a revised normal Infantry torso will also be available, I'm hoping at the time of the shops opening. It'll be very similar to the older version standalone torso I did, but slightly improved. No worries on the Swap Shop, I'm going to get that going this week, probably will put out a post about it tomorrow.

Col.Scipio, I suppose I can let off a Mordian player, afterall our armies are pretty much fully interachangable, how about some Mordian Iron Hearts with the new Carapace? ;)

Phill, the sky is the limit yes, Veterans, Command Squads, Heavy Cavalry, Characters with Carapace Armour, and of course Storm Troopers! I think my intention with the helmets was to put five heads and an empty helmet on the sprue, but the heads could easily be removed from them to give you more spare helmets.

Oooh, don't tempt me Frodo! Haha yes, we do have exactly the same army basically. I have a company (3000pts) worth of Mordians but I'm planning a Battalion Commander and retinue, I think some of the carapace torsos will be used now...

Wow, awesome! I'm so glad you are keeping at it.

I think it may be time to start a new army...

Are you planning on making Legs and/or do your torsos fit on Victoria's Legs?

Hi Gravis,

good to know. I would also love to use the new high powered laser gun for my vets too.

How long would you say until release? A month? Where will be able to get them?!!!
