Well I'm back, quite tanned and very tired, America was amazing, though I'll admit I'm happy to be back in blighty! While it was the scenery which really made the holiday for me I can't mention it without saying a special thanks to bigred and the rest of the guys from Bell of Lost Souls who we spent a day with as they played a tournament at their home store of Battleforge Games and later at Trudy's for someexcellent Tex-Mex food in Austin, Texas. It was great to meet the guys, and to get a real perspective of the hobby in the US!
With so much travelling I've also done quite a bit of theorising with the new codex, though I'm still not settled on my final list I've got a pretty good idea of the core of it, the only real pain for me is the whole Sergeant issue with them unable to take Lasguns now... given all my sergeants have Lasguns. Looks like they'll be some more conversions in order before my army can be ready for the new list afterall.
I know I've got some email to catch up on, so if you've dropped me a line in the past couple of weeks I'll get back to you now ASAP.

Was nice to meet you as well. Sorry I couldn't stick around for drinks. After spending all day at the tournament, my wife wanted to spend some time with me. If only they had been able to get us into the damn restaurant more quickly.
Welcome home!
Glad to here you had a nice visit to the states.
Welcome back. I hadn't heard about the sergeant thing... I had planned on having most of my sergeants with lasguns to take advantage of the first rank, second rank order... bummer.
Glad you enjoyed the states!
Glad you had a good time!
So we've got some conversions to look forward to? Good stuff.
While you were away I posted up a custom Chimera that used your fantastic Sarcophagus plate idea like you put on your Russ Conquerer, hope you dont mind the steal, I did pay you the credit though

I have the Sergeant problem too. It's a bummer, and pretty stupid.
Arg!
Gonna have to clip at the bottom of their shoulder pads I think then stick some new arms on.
Glad you're back safe. Let's see some pics!
No worries Bushido, was a pleasure to meet you!
Thanks for the welcome back guys, it was amazing but is definately good to be home, theres a number of pics on the road trips blog (http://robismclovin.blogspot.com), they'll probably be a link to our photo albumns there sometime soon.
The sergeant issue is definately a bummer, but I guess it's just part of the give and take, theres plenty to make up for it!
Craig, and you've done an excellent job on the Chimera, nice one!
We had a wonderful time with your group Colonel, and you are welcome deep in the heart of Texas anytime.
The BoLS crew will now have to give you a ring anytime we are traveling in your neck of the woods.
PS, Remember, you can enjoy Mexican Martinis anywhere in the world!
I hadn't head about the Sgt. change, what about shotguns??? That's what all of mine have. Worse case scenario i can make them Veterans I guess...

Damn, all that work trying to convince you to come down to Austin, TX and I was off in Arkansas for the weekend!
Well I'll be in London for the 2012 Olympics and will certainly be visiting Nottingham and Warhammer World while I am there. Although last time I took my entire IG army on the plan, on the train, on the bus, and on my back to get to Warhammer World; I think next time I’ll have to take Deathwing or something equally light :P

Mind you do bigred, it'd be a pleasure to return the hospitality, though I can't promiss our local cuisine is quite as nice! lol
Corey, aye it's one which had been largely missed, but they no longer have the option, instead they have a Laspistol & CCW as standard with the option to upgrade with Bolt Pistols, Plasma Pistols and Power Weapons, no two handed weapons such as Lasguns or Shotguns - Veteran Squad Sergeants do though IIRC.
Doh'th kings! Well do let us know when your about, it's only a few hours drive from here and we do pop up there from time to time!
