Zombies - If you can't bet them, join them! - Exeter Legionary 2011

This Saturday see's gamers from across the south western UK heading down to Exeter Legionary, the annual convention largely organised by Rygas Roughnecks and Exmouth Imperials. This year the event is being held at a new and much better venue at the Exeter Matford Center, the event open its doors at 10am and closes once more for another year at 4pm. Tickets are a mere £3.00 on the door, with the usual demo games, trade stands and of course the excellent bring and buy. Three tournaments are also taking part, 40k, WFB and Warmachine - and I'm lelad to believe there are still a few tickets left for these, so if that floats your boat I'd get on down to the website now.

For several years I've taken part in the 40k Tournament, but not this year. Instead I've been busy preparing for and will be running, one of Exeter Inquisitions two participation games.

Only in Death...

A Warhammer 40,000 Zombie Apocalypse Game

Okay despite the 'grand' title, its actually just an excuse for players to take charge of small group of Imperial Guardsmen trapped in a Zombie infested city, there is no escape - its just a case of seeing how many of the rotters you can take with you!

I put the survivors together with the aid of my bits box, we have the grizzled 'Sarg with his trusty chainsword (perfect for hacking up zombies), the Officer with a very suspect looking wound, the Heavy hefting his Heavy Stubber, the Pyro his Flamer tanks almost empty, a couple of trusty Grunts and a fresh faced Rookie.

Arrayed against them are the hordes of undead, former comrades to the embattled survivors, again drawn from the bits box with a few added zombie bits.

If your about at Legionary do pop over an say hello, and while your at it see if you've got what it takes to try an survive a Zombie Apocalypse!

Zombies are always fun, the record using the mission I devised is 43 IIRC, will take some beating! The games are fast and fun!
